About

Thanks for stopping by my little place here online. My name
is Jason Whitehorn and, although my past has given me several great titles and occupations – the title I wish to be known by is simple…a Christ Follower.
Being a Christ Follower means everything to me. It’s a noun, a verb, an adverb, and adjective…it is a new way of life for me after finding the Truth of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
This website has been designed to express my “calling”. I have a sincere desire to serve the Lord with all of my heart and I want the world to know about my journey. A few years back, I became a Worship Pastor and found one of the greatest joys I could have found – ministry through music. Somehow along the way, I changed courses and pursued other careers. Most of my “steering” came from the simple fact that I had no full time position at the time and needed income to support my family. After over three years of continued service as Worship Leader in one church – life took an interesting turn away from the state of Oklahoma to Nashville, Tennessee. It was there that we joined a new church along with my new job. It was there that everything started changing.
My wife and I (Crystal had previously been the Preschool Director at our former church) decided that we would “sit out” on service for a change. We had not attended a single worship service together in over three years
because of our responsibilities in our previous church, and we wanted to “take a break” and enjoy worship together. The problem our logic was…God doesn’t take breaks.
God soon began tugging at my heart to return to my first love and join the worship team at LifePoint. My heart and soul were re-energized by joining the team. I soon joined the songwriting group there and began writing songs of worship for corporate church use. Then, one Sunday, I led a Lee McDerment song.
The song haunted me. “Go tell it……tell them your story….He
saved your life!” How true the words were! I had the pleasure of talking to Lee about his song after leading it and told him that he wrote the most perfect…most true…most inspiring lyric within those three simple statements.

It was with that song that I realized that I had a calling…a calling to spread his word through music.
I want to give you the opportunity to learn about my new journey. I want to
give you the opportunity to learn more about my new mission in life – and to learn more about worshiping God.
I sincerely thank you for stopping by this site – and encourage you to visit the links below to learn more.
